How much money can you make being a reseller? How hard to operate?

by Rx_tossaway

I'm curious about potential income, necessary hours per week, any physical infrastructure necessary, etc., also appreciated. Set up costs, (like would someone need a vpn to process any transactions, etc., and so on. And getting hooked up with a provider

Edit: So based on the comments and replies, I've firmed up some questions:

Are there any equipment requirements (hardware- 'servers', extra drives, whatever)? (I realize that's probably a dumb question but I dunno the answer, lol...

Any software requirements? (Anything I need to have/buy and use, particuarly anything to keep running, like management software, interfaces, or anything?) (Or is most business done through email and website interfaces?)

Are there setup costs? A financial outlay that I have to make to get in? ie- like buying subscriptions first and then reselling them?

And the just logistically, how does it work? Like let's say ok- I'm a reseller with some/whatever iptv company. I have a guy who wants to buy a subscription. What happens next? (ie- Like, do I call the company on the phone and get activation information that I give to the buyer? And then the buyer gives me x$ and then I send some percentage of that to the company at the end of the month?) <------- I know that's probably not how it works, but that's I guess the base of my question. How does it work logistically?

I'm looking at selling just by word of mouth. Not very interested in having an online presence (social media pages, etc.) at the moment. Maybe down the road.

I'm looking for resellers for our service PrimeStreams. I just posted on my page yesterday actually. I can send you guys a list of prices and I'm also making a video on how to use the panel. PM me for more info.

*I started out only wanting 20 customers max to pay a bill and now I have over 200 customers and 6 resellers under me that sell... I take in around 1.5K to 2K a month on average, and I still have to purchase credits to furfill my customers lines though...

The best analogy that I've seen is that comparing it to the drug trade.

It's all about your name being out there and the product you've got. If you've got a great product but a shit rep, then you're not going to get anywhere. So you need to give people samples of your product so they can learn how good it is.

By the same token, if you price your product too high, it better be damn good otherwise people will go elsewhere.

As xfirestreamz says, it's all about what you put in. If you set up a Twitter account and post one ad a day and expect to make millions, then you may as well not bother. Everyone is doing the same thing, so you need to think outside the box.

Set-up costs depends on the service you go with. From scanning the market, it ranges from anything for £200 to £500+, it's all about backing yourself to create something better than everyone else.

If you are a reseller of an established service then there really isn't a ton but really depends on how motivated you want to be. Put in little effort then you make little. Vpn to do transactions - No, Figure out the support structure you wan to do or what the seller/provider has. Setup panel varies from service to service.
